Altered RPMs found - how to stop notifications
Hello folks,
long time lurker, first time poster.
I made a change to spamd and now cPanel keeps sending me "Altered RPMs found" notifications every single day. Could've sworn I saw some information, albeit months ago, on how to stop that from happening.
If I run the --fix, would that not overwrite the change(s) I made?
Any light shed on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Hmmm, sub-optimal but that's how the cookie crumbles. Thank you for the reply! -moO- 0 -

Could you elaborate on what your ideal setup would be? For instance, are you looking to have the RPMs updated with your custom changes in-place? Thank you.0 -
These would be my ideal steps: - apply change to spamd - run script to let cPanel know that this change is on purpose - cPanel acknowledges change and won't notify about this specific change - cPanel will still keep an eye on spamd for future changes and notify if it happens - spamd will continue to be automatically updated because disabling notifications was not required - rainbows and unicorns 0 -

This does not happen once you use your own custom instance of spamd because changes to a customized instance of spamd may break it and lead to it failing to start. Thank you.0
