Restored a Backup - But have to reset email account passwords

Hi There I've restored a backup successfully, but nobody can log into their email accounts. If i reset the account password it works fine. Is there anything I can do to make it so the email accounts are as they were? It'll be a real pain to reset every password. Thanks in advance Hugh

  Hugh, Extract the backup manually and look for the 'etc' directory, in there you will see the domain, copy the 'passwd' file from there, that is what contains the email passwords.

  Hello :) It's possible the email account passwords have changed since the time at which the backup generation occurred. You may need to reset the email account passwords if they are failing, as restoring the passwd file from the backup archive will simply revert them to the state directly after the restoration. Thank you.
