DNS Settings on server provider vs. WHM / cPanel

Hi everyone, Context: I'm extremely new with cPanel and WHM. I've surpassed my research time quota and as I can't figure it out, I broke my no-shame barrier and ask an extremely easy question so hopefully won't take much of your altruistic time. Aim: My aim is to create a single (large) website for now using (mydomain.com) and slowly add future sites in there. So I have 1 IP, 1 Domain and 1 server. Current Settings: I just got a Public Cloud from OVH (provider) with a domain name (mydomain.com) and it comes with a single IP address, no option to add IPs at this time yet. I've installed CentOS 7 and cPanel & WHM, I added a cPanel account for mydomain.com. So far so good. I have DNS settings for mydomain.com on my account with OVH. I have pointed the domain name (A) to the IP address where I installed cPanel and WHM. But there are lots of other settings such as MX, SRV and CNAMES that I haven't modified there and have no idea what to do with them. Questions: What do I have to do with each of these DNS settings so WHM can manage the redirections to the right servers? Should I delete it all except the A setting? Would my WHM settings override them then? Is having a single IP a problem to set up the NS ? Should I use my OVH NS instead? Thank you very much

    Hi, Your really dont need to remove all DNS records. They are all necessary for your cpanel, webmail, emails etc (though you can access through IP) its easy call for your customers. There is no issue with setting up same IP for both nameservers. However as per RFC, you should have two or more nameservers with different subnet. Well, you have issue of another IPs, so you can use same IP for both nameservers. You can also consider cloudflare for handling DNS for your domain. Free plan is sufficient for you.
