Hello :) Do you notice any output to /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpdavd_error_log when you receive the 500 error message in Thunderbird's Lighting Calendar? Thank you.

I see these errors but not sure if they are related:
PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function toHash() on a non-object in /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/kronolith/lib/Application.php on line 686 PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function toHash() on a non-object in /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/kronolith/lib/Application.php on line 686 PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function toHash() on a non-object in /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/kronolith/lib/Application.php on line 686 PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function toHash() on a non-object in /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/kronolith/lib/Application.php on line 686 PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function toHash() on a non-object in /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/kronolith/lib/Application.php on line 686 PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function toHash() on a non-object in /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/kronolith/lib/Application.php on line 686 Application Bug: there is still content data waiting on the incoming socket and we ignored it!
I notice that activesync is a planned feature that cPanel is working on so I may just wait this out. I setup a dedicated Horde Webmail Edition server, and setup activesync, and have it just pulling IMAP from the cPanel server. The activesync from this dedicated Horde server is working great on my android phone, and Outlook 2016. Everything syncs great.

Hello :) Internal case CPANEL-1934 is open to address an issue similar to what you have reported. Could you try using the "Synchronize Calendars" option in Thunderbird and see if shows your newly created event after you notice the error message? Thank you.
