Email Send Limits

Hi Guys, If you have an hourly email send limit set to 500, but the package setting is set to unlimited. Will cPanel respect the 'server global default' or the package setting? I know cPanel respects the 'per user' setting above the 'server setting', but I couldnt find mention of the package setting? Thanks!

  Hello :) The value in the package simply defines the limit set for the account during account creation or when an account is upgraded to that package. It's only used to determine what value is configured for the account. Thank you.

  Ok, so if the account was created when the package had this set to 'unlimited' and only after did I change the server value to 500 hourly limit - would the account have 'unlimited hourly limit' or '500 hourly limit' set?

  The account would maintain the value it was assigned during account creation with that package. It will only change if you edit the package value and apply that package to existing accounts using it. Thank you.

  Thanks for the clarification Michael :) In this case, all my clients were created when the server and package setting was set to 'unlimited'. How do I mass change all accounts to have the new server limit of 500 p/h?

  You can simply update the package for those accounts to a "500" value for the sending limit. Updating the package itself automatically updates the value for all accounts using that package. Thank you.
