Cpanel install Issue
Hi Michael
I have a Centos 7 dev box we downloaded and installed Cpanel on this server.
Before I ran the cpanel installer I had Apache running and I could connect on that port 80 fine from other computers to the standard Testing 123 Apache test page.
Since the cpanel install ... which I ran as root ?
I can now no longer see apache or telnet to the server on port 80. I can connect to the CRM system on port 8069, so its not connectivity. I did stop FirewallD and iptables to check. Went looking for httpd.conf and see something I never saw before in terminal.
And now Apache is red ??? Any ideas whats gone wrong and how I fix it ? Regards Matt

Hello :) You should not install cPanel on top of an existing server with services such as Apache. Per our , which installs all of the services that it requires.- If you install services before you install cPanel & WHM, you will encounter compatibility issues.
Also, reinstalling Perl is not advised, and is likely the reason why cPanel is failing. Are there any existing accounts on this system? If not, I advise reinstalling the OS, and then installing cPanel on the fresh installation of the OS. Thank you.0 - If you install services before you install cPanel & WHM, you will encounter compatibility issues.

Right, this is against the installation requirements, and can lead to compatibility issues post-installation. Are there any existing accounts on this system that would prevent you from reinstalling the OS, and then starting a fresh installation of cPanel? Thank you.0 -
Ok please can I have the exact system requirements. Am I expected to install Centos - minimal or what install type ? I had set up and configured some other services, I could start from scratch but obviously that is not my first option. Thanks for your help. Regards Matt 0
