    Hello :) Yes, it's by design that Horde uses hunspell for spell checking purposes. I've not seen any additional reports of this process hanging. Are there any specific steps you can take to reproduce the issue? Thank you.

    It appears to be consistent in it's process hanging. Horde is the usual slow, resource intensive, pain in the arse it's always been but typically it will not show this when I've tried to make it happen. It does take about ten seconds to open a message when clicking the big green new message button or replying to an email but is instant when going via mail and new message in the header though.

    I have been unable to reproduce any instances of the hunspell process hanging. Is the load or disk I/O on your system typically high already? Is it only Horde that's slow, or are other functions also slow on your system? Thank you.

    Only horde. It is a user with a lot of emails and it hadn't happened for a short while until Tuesday other day, when I had calls telling me that it was taking 10 mins or more for a message to send. I received the same hunspell messages at the time.. I've since done a forced re-install to see if that works. That customer has complained about horde being slow since it was moved from an older (slower) server, which it ran fine on. But this is since .52 updates this hunspell issue has occurred.

    The slow horde in general happens all the time, but the hunspell issue is intermittent so I'll wait until it's happening in the hope it can be caught in action.
