Backups Through WHM

Hello, I'm sorry for such a basic question but I don't have much experience in WHM and I would like to set an automated backup job on my server. Previously, I have simply run a manual backup from within cPanel, which I save to an external backup space (which is mounted onto the VPS). However, I would like to automate this, and also set a more comprehensive daily/weekly/monthly backup solution so at any time I have the last three days backed up, along with a backup from the previous week and a backup from the previous month. Is that possible? If so, what's the difference between the new backup system and the legacy one? Finally, does my backup storage solution sound suitable (it costs about "10 per month)? Are alternatives like AWS any good? Thanks in advance for any responses.

  Hello :) You can configure backups via: "WHM Home >> Backup >> Backup Configuration" Documentation on the available retention settings is found at: Backup Configuration - Documentation - cPanel Documentation The storage solution you are using seems suitable, but you should test a backup generation first to ensure it works as expected.
