Reply forum cPanel support: Hello, This behavior appears to be a part of a recent Exim update, version 4.86: [exim] Exim 4.86 Released + DSN messages are now MIME format In the Internet's standard email protocol SMTP, a bounce message, also called a Non-Delivery Report/Receipt (NDR), a (failed) Delivery Status Notification (DSN) message, a Non-Delivery Notification (NDN) or simply a bounce, is an automated electronic mail message from a mail system informing the sender of another message about a delivery problem. The change to make these MIME format is what is causing these to be attachments, and is currently a part of the standard for SMTP. Exim simply updated recently to conform to the standard. In cPanel version 11.52.0.5 we updated cPanel to include Exim 4.86, which is likely why you recently have seen this behavior. This does not currently appear to be configurable in Exim. If you have any questions or if there is anything else we can assist you with, please let us know. We would be glad to help! I really need to use the old method.

Hello :) Thank you for taking the time to update us with the outcome and response from your support ticket. Note that it's not likely to see a change in this new behavior from EXIM because it was implemented to meet RFC compliance standards. Thank you.
