Couldn't login after 11.52

I submitted a support request yesterday as after the 11.52 upgrade I could no longer login to WHM with the root password, yet SSH worked fine. Support couldn't find any issues so in the end I tried to set the password again using SSH and suddenly I could login. Today, one of our other 4 servers has the same issue. I'm guessing this is a bug in cPanel 11.52 that affects some servers?

  Hello :) There are no open cases that relate to the issue you have reported. Could you review /usr/local/cpanel/logs/login_log and let us know the specific output when the login attempt fails? Thank you.

  I saw this problem as well. It appears that cPanel needed to be restarted to use WHM or any account cPanel. Once I restarted cPanel from SSH, everything worked fine.

  Could you review /usr/local/cpanel/logs/login_log to determine if there were any specific failure messages during the login attempts when you were unable to access cPanel/WHM? Thank you.

  There doesn't appear to be any login failures listed in the log around the time I was attempting to login. I wasn't technically failing to login, the connection simply timed out. My impression was that cPanel wasn't running. I didn't investigate it very very, but felt that restarting cPanel might clear it up. When I did, everything worked fine.

  Update logs are stored in: /var/cpanel/updatelogs/ Do you notice any error messages in the logs towards the end of the process for the particular update this happened after? Thank you.
