Spam Problem with one account
I have been plagued by a hacker / spammer sending emails from one of my domains on my server using email addresses that do not exist.
i have tried to block this spammer, changing all passwords, updating everything nothing stops them.
so there is only one email account i need working admin@mydomainname.com and the rest i want to have all mail automatically deleted, except for admin@mydomainname.com
is there a command i can use to immediately delete all mail being sent except for admin@mydomainname.com
i think that should take care of the problem
how do i do this.
thanks
Alex

admin@ support@ webmaster@ are all very easy targets that will get hit most. (IMO, using them should be avoided.) Check to make sure your Default Address is configured properly: Default Address - Documentation - cPanel Documentation 0 -
i know this, i can always do that later on once i have blocked all other "emailaddresses@mydomain.com" but what would the command be to immediately delete all emails sent from all addresses@mydomain.com except admin@mydomain.com i can always change admin@mydomain.com once i stop the hacker from sending using "otherpeoplesnames@mydomain.com" thanks for answering my question Alex 0 -
I don't know of a command to do what you seek. But you might find the tools here of use: WHM "Email "Mail Queue Manager You can search for, select and remove any sort of email that comes up there. 0 -
are you kidding me, the hacker is sending mail through domains which are being spawned from some other server, i have to delete literally 10,000 emails a day and there is now way i have found to stop the hacker from getting in. checking through the mail que is literally a job that would require thousands of hours per day. Can you escalate this to someone that knows something about cpanel / linux and stopping spammers??? your answer is not helpful at all and i feel you don't know what your talking about 0 -
i have found to stop the hacker from getting in.
Sure there is, suspend the account. Please feel free to open a ticket directly to cPanel Technical Support. From in your WHM, top right corner, is a life preserver icon with a menu and link to Contact cPanel. Good luck with this.0
