Moving from Centos 6 to 7
I need to upgrade my server from Centos 6 to 7. In order to move all my data, can I just migrate the data to a temporary server and then migrate that to the fresh cpanel install on Centos 7 or is there more involved?

Hi, You can simply spin up a C7 system, install cPanel on it, and then use the Transfer Tool to copy accounts over. There is no need for an intermediary system. 0 -

I'm overwritting the Centos 6 machine with 7 so I'm going to need to keep the data somewhere.0 -
You can't upgrade your OS that way. You'll need to wipe the server, reload OS and cPanel properly, secure it, and then move your accounts over from backups. Or, setup a new server properly and move the accounts from the old server to the new.. 0
