Website working, but Alias domain pointed to custom nameservers don`t
Hi everyone, and thanks for looking and trying to help.
I"ve created a custom server because a shared hosting wasn"t handling my website, i`ve bought a new .com domain to create this custom server because i didn"t want any downtime in my store. The .com domain is working fine, i can enter in the website, cpanel, and whm. But i can`t point my .com.br domain to the ns1.example.com and ns2.example.com
Already checked A"s in the DNS Zone and all are pointed to my IP. Everything seems to be fine, but the ns1.example.com don`t return any results.

You normally set the nameservers for the domain at your Domain Name Registrar. What do you mean by "custom server"? Nameservers? The domain you mention (now removed from your post) uses what looks like default 1&1 nameservers. Looking at these docs, they've got some sort of custom setup in use: help.1and1.com/domains-c36931/transfer-domains-c79823/to-1and1-c37567/point-your-domain-to-1and1-name-servers-a594802.html If 1&1 is handling your domains, you might want to speak with them about this to figure out whats not right with your custom namervers configuration in that custom panel they have. 0 -
I"ve bought a vps, bought a cpanel and whm license, installed. In WHM, it asks you to point nameservers to ip ns1.mydomain.com A 127.0.0.1(your ip) Then i added an alias domainI(mydomain.com.br), and pointed it to (ns1.mydomain.com), and (ns2.mydomain.com), but it shows unknown servers, and i can`t ping ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com I can`t make the ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com point to my ip, even when DNS Zone is set correctly. 0 -
Your, "mydomain.com" is using 1&1 nameservers though. You might want to review these docs to make sure you haven't missed a step somewhere: How to Set Up Nameservers in a cPanel & WHM Environment - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation 0 -
I didn`t setup ns1.mydomain.com on the domain. That was my mistake, sorry for that. And thank you very much. 0 -
All set then? Good to hear. :) 0
