    Hello :) What version of cPanel are you updating from? Could you elaborate about the "date" you are referring to? Please note that it's advised to upgrade/reinstall from CentOS 5 to CentOS 7. Thank you.

    It's fine to update, but keep in mind that we highly advise you to upgrade your OS from CentOS 5 to a newer version of CentOS at your earliest convenience. Thank you.

    Hi Michael, if we update or vps through yum update. the cPanel not going to break or losing any existing date or configuration in cPanel ?

    It's normal to update your packages through the "yum update" command. This should not break cPanel, however note that it's not advised to upgrade to a new major version of CentOS. Instead, it's advised to install the new OS, install cPanel, and then transfer the accounts to the new OS. Thank you.

    if we update our cpanel, Server software going to be updated as well. like for example php,mysql,apache,etc... or just the cpanel platform.

    i couldn't understand you. do you mean all the server software will get updated. including Ftp,exim email server,Hulk,erc.... or just the cPanel platform.
