Subdomain not pointing to public_html
Hi everyone! I hope someone can help me or bring some light to my issue..
Some background:
I have Ultimate Linux Hosting with cPanel at Godaddy
I have a domain, lets call it domain.com that points to a squarespace site.
I created a subdomain, subdomain.domain.com and pointed it to godaddy's hosting space with A records.
Inside cPanel, I see that home directory is set to home/username and I put all web files in home/username/public_html.
Problem is when I go to subdomain.domain.com in the browser I dont see the web files I uploaded to public_html, and I can only get to them by going to subdomain.domain.com/~username
What I need is subdomain.domain.com to show the web content. Shoudn't that be the default behavior?
I also have not been able to access home via File Manager or FTP (Highest folder I can go to is home/username), and dont know if I could point the domain to a certain folder.
I'm no expert at all so I'm a bit lost about what the problem could be. Any help would be much apreciated.
Thanks a lot for taking the time to read me and for any help in advance!
Best regards,
Marcos

inside public_html your subdomain folder also created so you need to add your files under this folder. 0 -

Hello :) Could you elaborate on what shows up when accessing the subdomain directly? It seems like this is related to DNS. Thank you.0 -
Hi! Problem solved by itself! Aparently A records had not spread yet when I tested. Now the subdomain points to the public_html folder :) Thanks for your help! 0 -
