Changing PHP handler
I need to change our PHP handler from suPHP to DSO to support xCache which I've now installed.
I've read up a lot about it and found that it can cause some permission issues.
If I change it and restart Apache and find I have the same issues, can I just change it back to the default suPHP and it will be back to normal or are there permanent changes that occur during the change?
I've taken a image snap shot as well, just to be on the safe side.
Thanks in advance!
Ps. How do I remove this stupid profile picture this forum has grabbed from my facebook! (was too lazy to sign-up). I've unlinked the accounts. No options to remove it. haha

I've removed it for you. As you become more active, more forum options are available like adding a new avatar. ;) 0 -

Hello :) The changes are not permanent. You can switch back to suPHP at anytime. Thank you.0 -
Thank you, my next problem is of course the many folder and file ownership issues as DSO uses the nobody user. I'm using wordpress. I'm back on the research looking for the best way to tackle the errors. If anyone has a guide they know to be excellent please let me know. I would be using Varnish but getting it to work on HTTPS (which my site is), looks a bit out my depth. Thanks! 0 -
There's an older thread here you may find helpful: Switching to suPHP Thank you. 0
