uploading site to cPanel

Hi there Complete novice to cPanel here. I'm used to drag and drop, zero coding so may have made a terrible mistake changing to cPanel. I can not upload my site and any help you can give would be much appreciated. I've designed the site using serif webplus8, tried to publish using the fpt. address etc found on my cPanel but I get nothing. I know I am doing something wrong but have no idea what. I've read through a few other threads and none have provided a solution. Followed the online tutorial from serif to the letter, but nadda. From cPanel, file manager, home.public.html folder I can find the .wpp files but that's as far as I get. Really sorry to bug you guys - any ideas? An an idiots guide would be so helpful about now!   You might do better to ask your question about how to use that software, on that software's website. Your website normally goes in the public_html/ directory of your cPanel account.

  Could you elaborate on the specific error message you are receiving? Have you reported this issue to your web hosting provider? Thank you.

  Hi: I am a graphic and web designer and fairly new to cPanel. My client asked me to create a completely new design for his existing website. I am attempting to replace the old one with the new one I created. I have created and downloaded the backup files. I am now trying to replace the old files with the new files, and have gotten as far as clicking the "Upload" icon on the File Manager>Web Root html page . Nothing happens, and I get an error message saying: A fatal error or timeout occurred while processing this directive. In the details under this message it says:
  Template::Exception: [TYPE]=[file] [INFO]=[_calendar.tmpl: not found] [TEXT]=[] at cpanel.pl line 1148. main::cptt_exectag("") called at cpanel.pl line 4300 main::dotag_finished_headers(0) called at cpanel.pl line 4113 main::cpanel_parseblock("
Any idea what this means and why it's happening? Thanks! auroramoon

  Hello :) You will need to report this issue to your web hosting provider, as it's not an error message you can troubleshoot without root access to the server. Otherwise, you can use FTP to upload files via FTP clients such as FileZilla. Thank you.
