Server / Apache Still Listening on Firewall Blocked IP Addresses
I've got several websites that were on dedicated IP that are no longer in use yet the server is still getting significant traffic directly to these IP addresses. I don't need to use the IPs but I may want to re-use them in the future. I suspended or terminated the accounts but that is still not going to prevent the server's IP from getting hit.
I went into the firewall settings in CPanel and checked the box to deny all access to those IPs. However if you try to access those IP's from the browser you still get either the "SORRY!" page or the "Account Suspended" page so Apache is still responding to the http requests on those IPs.
I want to have the server ignore traffic on all ports for those IPs without deleting the IPs in a way that won't get overwritten by CPanel yet I can restore access easily.

Hello :) You can disable the IP addresses via: "WHM Home " Service Configuration " Apache Configuration " Reserved IPs Editor" Thank you. 0
