Domain redirect question
Hello,
I currently have a website under example.com but when I type www.example.com the "www." part is removed from the address bar. I'd like to keep it if it's typed.
Already checked the Domains >> Redirects under cPanel but there are none defined. Where else could this be happening? I've searched under several threads but most people acutally want to do the opposite (remove the www.) while I want to keep it.
Current behavior:
example.com -> Opens example.com
www.example.com -> Opens example.com
Expected behavior:
example.com -> Opens example.com
www.example.com -> Opens www.example.com
Does it make any sense? lol
thanks in advance

Are you using a site that you have to add the homepage in the configuration? Wordpress for example. 0 -
Yes. It is a wordpress site. 0 -
This post should be helpful I think: Changing The Site URL " WordPress Codex 0 -
Thanks for the info, however, from what I can understand it seems these are the options that can be changed under wordpress: [LIST] - The "Site Address (URL)" setting is the address you want people to type in their browser to reach your WordPress blog.
- The "WordPress Address (URL)" setting is the address where your WordPress core files reside. This makes me to believe that I will once again end up using only 1 option... either the full domain with www. or without it only. My customer says he wants the browser's address field to show what the user typed> www.example.com or example.com This is the first time I've come across this "issue" so I'm not sure if it may be done at all inside cpanel or wordpress. Generally... users want example.com to redirect to www.example.com I'll keep digging for answers. Thanks for the help!

I missed this part of your post: I'd like to keep it if it's typed.
