How do I publish my website?

I deleted the default home.html, and uploaded my HTML file. But when I go to mydomain.com it says "The future of something cool!" and doesn't show my website. How do I publish it?

  They told me to delete home.html, and I did, and nothing changed. So I came here.

  Have you tried clearing your browser cache, another browser completely, or checked to make sure that your domain is pointing the proper server? intodns.com I'm always curious to know why a new user, with a new hosting account, trying to upload their website and having issues with that new account, comes here instead of simply asking the host you're paying money to, you just paid money to. It would take them less time to peek at your account and verify things for you than the time it takes waiting on reply on these forums. So I ask. :)
