AWStats discrepancy
I have a question in regards to the Pages/Hits per IP reported by AWStats vs the number of log entries.
I have a site that has 598 log entries for an IP yet AWStats is reporting roughly a 3 fold increase for the Pages/Hits 1776/1782.
Shouldn't roughly each log entry translate to a single hit?
Best regards,
Eric

Hello :) A hit can include files accessed as part of the website (e.g. css files or images). There's documentation on this at: AWStats Documentation - Glossary Thank you. 0 -
I realize that but shouldn't the additional files like images, css, etc have a separate log entry showing them being requested? Best regards, Eric 0 -
What's recorded as one page view request in the Apache domain access logs may show up as multiple hits in Awstats. This thread may offer some insight if you are using applications such as WordPress: WordPress " Support " how to get accurate traffic stats ? Thank you. 0
