deleting email archives

I have read through other posts regarding this issue, but I obviously don't have the tech knowledge to understand what to do. I used to have archiving turned on for our mailing lists (apparently by default) but have since turned it off. I now need to know how to delete the old archives as they are taking up a lot of space. Can someone explain how to do this in simple English :-)

  Read through that post again....my problems are as follows: I don't have and "Email Archiving" function in Cpanel With FTP and File Manager I have no idea what I am looking for to know what I can delete (and don't want to do the wrong thing) and I can't find Tweak Settings if I go into WHM

  Thank you for clarifying your usage stems from Mailman as opposed to email archives. You will need to contact your hosting provider to have them delete the Mailman archives for your mailing list on your behalf. You will not be able to utilize the Mailman utilities required to delete archives without root access to the system. Thank you.
