LVE Manager 1.0-9.9 issues
Hello :)
CloudLinux has issued the following notification about issues stemming from a recent update to LVE Manager:
LVE Manager 1.0-9.9 issues
Yesterday's LVE Manager production update caused an issue on some cPanel servers with resetting custom limits to package defaults. It happens only to those who changed personal account limits but left user on old package. That is caused by triggering update package after adding LVE extension functionality to cPanel packages.
This LVE Manager package has been removed from stable repository (except CloudLinux 5) when we discovered the issue and we are going to release the package without those triggers.
Sadly, but after ~200 beta installations this bug was not discovered, and was not catched by our testing cases.
We are paying more attention to testing phase now and will try to catch such situation next time.
Sorry for the inconveniences caused.
If you have cPanel backups enabled, you can get previous limits from backups. Here is an example how to do it:
cd /backup/cpbackup/daily
tar -zxvf username.tar.gz username/cp
tar -zxvf username.tar.gz username/quota
cat username/quota
cat username/cp/username | egrep "MAX|BWLIMIT"
Then set limits manually with WHM --> Modify account.
Keep in mind the path to daily backups for non-legacy backups is "/$backup-directory/$date/accounts/. Thank you.
