Changing the primary domain for an addon domain
Good morning to anyone reading this thread!!
I have my Linux hosting with CPanel account with GoDaddy and have to decided to switched the primary domain for the addon domain since this last one it's the one that I'll keep for a long term.
The process went well but when connecting to wordpress for the new primary domain, I see that the content that the website is reading are the one in the folders located in the public_html root that belong to the the old primary domain located under this root and I'm guessing the wordpress folders from the new primary domain should be located here.
Does anyone have an idea how I can put the folders of my new primary domain that are now located in a sub-directory root to the public_html directory root?
I can see that folders and files can be moved as a drag and drop on CPanel but don't know if this option it's still OK.
For example if I can erase all the files on the folders wp-admin, wp-content and wp-includes on the public_html root and drag and drop there the files of my new primary domain that are in the sub-directory folders since it was previously an addon domain.
Many thanks in advance to anyone kind enough to give some light.
Pablo
