Blocking Spam with Filters Question
Hi There,
I have a client whose website and email is setup on shared hosting with no WHM access. Simply put, she is receiving an abnormal amount of spam and while my efforts to filter out the majority of these messages there are a few still getting through.
Any email address that ends in ".bid. can't be blocked with the "from" and "contains" options as this blocks clients whose email address contain their family name, e.i. aclient.bidmen@adomain.com, and using ends with doesn't work for some reason.
Is there a way of setting up a global filter so I can avoid this issue?

Hello :) You may find this thread helpful when formulating a filter rule: Need to filter ALL email While it's intended for the entire server on that thread, you could modify it so it applies to a single account. Thank you. 0 -
That thread will not help me as I don't have WHM access. 0 -
The idea behind linking to the thread is that it provides filter rules that you can apply to the "Account Level Filter" and "User Level Filtering" options in cPanel. Could you elaborate on which aspect of the rules you can't apply to the individual filter options in cPanel (e.g. text strings for the "from" address)? Thank you. 0
