DNS Cluster configuration...
Hello,
I've the following DNS Cluster setup in our system but I'm confused about what'll happen when for example NS1 is down and this time period I modify some DNS records from one cPanel server (which is quite possible because NS2 is online).
Will it be synchronising back from NS2 --> to --> NS1 after NS1 returns to online?
Here's the schematic:
3 FULL cPanel servers:
- SRV01
- NS1 (sync. cahnges)
- NS2 (sync. cahnges)
- SRV02
- NS1 (sync. cahnges)
- NS2 (sync. cahnges)
- SRV03
- NS1 (sync. cahnges)
- NS2 (sync. cahnges)
2 DNS-Only cPanel servers:
- NS1
- SRV01 (standalone)
- SRV02 (standalone)
- SRV03 (standalone)
- NS2
- SRV01 (standalone)
- SRV02 (standalone)
- SRV03 (standalone)
Thank You for any advise!
Regards

Hello :) The synchronization occurs from the cPanel servers to the DNS-Only servers, based on the configuration you provided. This is standard behavior. You can manually synchronize the zones from the cPanel server to the DNS-Only servers again when the name server that's down begins to function again: "WHM Home " DNS Functions " Synchronize DNS Records" Thank you. 0 -
