External Authentication in CPanel 54
Greetings! One of our testing servers just got the update to CPanel 54 and the new features are looking pretty fantastic. I have a quick question about one in particular - namely the new external authentication module. The documentation seems to indicate the ability to choose from a list of varying auth providers: Google, Facebook, etc. but at present only CpanelID and WHMCS are available within WHM. Will additional providers be added via a patch at a later date, or are there steps we need to do serverside to activate these additional providers.

Hello :) Thank you for your interest in this feature. Additional examples that demonstrate other methods (e.g. Google, Facebook, Amazon) are available in the "/usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Security/Authn/Provider/" directory with the .sample file extension. This is documented at: Guide to External Authentication - OpenID Connect - Software Development Kit - cPanel Documentation For example, if you copy "Google.pm.sample" to "Google.pm", Google becomes an available option and a link to further instructions from Google is displayed: OpenID Connect Note that cPanel version 56 will display these providers by default. Thank you. 0 -
