Disk space usage doesn't match
I have an account that had a MySQL database that was a little over 2G in size. I deleted that MySQL database, and double checked by SSH that it no longer exists under/var/lib/mysql/.
WHM still shows that the account is using over 2G of storage, though! What's really odd is that when I log in to cPanel, then click "Disk space usage", it only shows 3.15MB of storage being used.
I really need those 2G back, but I can't figure out where they are. Any thoughts?

It's normal that cPanel doesn't show it right away. It will eventually. 0 -
You're right, it shows up correctly now. It's weird, though; I removed about 700MB worth of files from the /www/ directory and the difference showed up immediately, but it took several hours for it to recalculate the MySQL data. That's a confusing little feature/bug in the system that should probably be noted somewhere in a future release. But either way, it's good now! Thanks :) 0 -
Hello :) You can run the following command if you need to manually update the MySQL disk space usage information: /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update_db_cache
Otherwise, it automatically runs every four hours as part of a cron job. Thank you.0
