One account using htaccess shows on other accounts https
Hi,
something weird happened today, one account is using htaccess and has forced https to access their sites.
first mysite1.com
second mysite2.com
Now one another tried to access their https url, it asks for first account htaccess ?
How is this possible ? They are both in same shared IP
Either does not have SSL cert

Hello :) Are you sure there's no SSL certificates installed on that IP address? SNI allows for the installation of SSL certificates on a shared IP address, however, SSL will automatically function on any other accounts using that same IP address. This is explained at: https://docs.cpanel.net/knowledge-base/security/troubleshoot-ssl-related-issues/
Thank you.

well... only system ssl is with that IP I think, but this is htaccess login prompt coming from other account to another when using SSL (https) 0 -
Are the domain names added in cPanel as addon domain names to the same account, or are these all completely separate cPanel accounts? Thank you. 0 -
these are completely separate accounts using 11.52.2 and cloudlinux 0 -
The issue you described suggests a SSL certificate is installed on a shared IP address. Could you open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can verify if that's the case? You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome. Thank you. 0
