IP/Name Server Delegation
While setting up my server I delegated a nameserver to an IP, it turns out I delegated it incorrectly.
Now (even with the DNS Zones deleted for the original name servers) I cant assign the correct nameserver to the correct IP because it's already "in use".
Is there a way to remove IP delegations for name servers so that I can start over...

Apologies, I found it: /etc/nameserverips I'm aware that it doesnt physically affect anything, but I do have an OCD streak sometimes :D 0 -
Hello :) I am happy to see the issue is now resolved. This document also explains how the feature works: NS Record Report - Documentation - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0 -
I'm assuming in this case that the "resolved IP" listed on that page is limited to standard DNS Propagation rules... e.g. it can take upto 48 hours to show all changes... 0 -
That's correct. Per the note on this document: This information does not always reflect the status of your server's functional and in-use nameservers or domains. This report returns information based on the server's local DNS zones, as well as localhost lookups of those records.
Thank you.0
