cPanel API seems to stop working

Hello all, I had a strange problem since a couple of days, our company's software (web content management) suddenly stop working on all client accounts due to an error with some scripts using cPanel's API. I noticed that the software would work again if I change PHP version from the current 5.4 to 5.6 but all the scripts using cPanel's API still not working. My current cPanel version is 11.52.2 (build 5) Is it a temporary problem or I should tell our hosting company to investigate ? Thanks
