Error XID You Do Not Have or Control
After upgrading to cpanel 54 two old email accounts have reappeared in an account. However I cannot remove them. Trying to delete gives the error message:
(XID kvww8n) You do not have an email account named "osales@domain.com".
Where else could I look to remove these two mail accounts? I checked in username/.cpanel/email_accounts.yaml and the two phantom mail accounts are not listed there.

I'm having the same exact problem with a client's machine. Is there any kind of resolution for this issue?? 0 -
Hi, Guys I have the same problem, but i got 2 errors, the 1st error when deleting the email account is attached, this looks like an error with the shared address book. On the 2nd attempt to delete the email account, I get the (XID) error, this looks like a bug to me. Ps. All mail has been moved from the server, So these email accounts are in-active and empty. 0 -
Merged two threads here due to the error mentioning "XID". Although full error is different, these may be related. 0 -

Hello :) Please review the following files: /home/$username/etc/$domain/passwd /home/$username/etc/$domain/shadow Remove any invalid entries from this file, and also check if the "/home/$username/etc/$old-domain" directory exists. Thank you.0 -
Thank you cPanelMichael, the "shadow" file contained the old entry. All OK now. 0
