SpamAssassin not sending junk to junk folder.
Hi all wondering if you could help me.
I'm running a linux vps with around 20 small website hosted on there. Around 6 of my customers also have e-mail. One customer has emailed me this evening complaining they are getting a lot of spam (they have sent me an image and their right - roughly one every 20 min)
I use SpamAssassin on my other cpanel accounts even on my own personal domain and I hardly get any spam. I noticed that SpamAssassin was turned off on this particular cpanel account.
When adjusting the settings I noticed that SpamAssassin had a feature which will move all spam to a folder called 'spam'. This had been enabled on my server for all my other customers.
After I checked the folder called 'junk' on my own personal mailbox and there were no spam messages in there - surely there should of?
Does it matter that 'spam' and 'junk' are called different things & if so is there a way to make SpamAssassin create a folder called 'spam' when enabled?

Hello :) Could you verify which email client or webmail application you are using? You likely need to subscribe to the "spam" folder if you have enabled the "Spam Box" option in cPanel. Thank you.0 -

You can follow the instructions at the following document to subscribe to the "spam" folder: How to Set Up Webmail Folders for Archived Email - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0
