Can't Send or Recieve email from other mail server

Hi, Today I installed cpanel in my VPS. So far so good, but the thing that happen for me is this, when I"m tried to put the email information that cpanel provides, in my gmail account an error occurred with a message that they can"t connect to server. What am I missing? Can you help me with this? Ps: Sorry about my english I"m from Brazil.

  Hello :) Are you able to setup POP3 with that same mail server name in an email client such as Thunderbird or Outlook? That would help determine if the issue is isolated to Google. Also, check to ensure the mail server name resolves to the correct IP address, and that Google's server are not blocked by any firewall rules on your system. Thank you.
