Cpanel 2FA
Cpanel has added an option for Two-Factor Authentication. We now have a customer asking for us to install this. The problem is this warning message on Cpanels page to install it
Warning:
This command may cause some third-party applications to break significantly, and may cause applications to improperly store data.
Has anyone had any issues with this? Will this cause issues with CSF or CXS? I searched on several forms and have not found anyone having problems it it. I am not sure if that means its a good thing or just noone as tried it yet. If anyone has tried this and please let me know and if you have CSF or CXS.

Where are you seeing that message? What is it you're trying to install, exactly? External Authentication is a part of cPanel 54: 54 Release Notes - Documentation - cPanel Documentation 0 -
Ah ok, I found it: Two-Factor Authentication - Documentation - cPanel Documentation 0 -
Will this cause issues with CSF or CXS?
I've only had it installed for a few minutes to check it out, but don't find any issues with either of these scripts. After running the command, logging into WHM and setting things up and enabling, seems to have gone easy enough.0 -
Is there any known 3rd party programs that are affected by this? Sorry this warning message just scares us from trying it and there is no way to test it with all 3rd party programs. I just didn't know if this was just a disclaimer in case something happens or if there has been known cases during testing that hey this will cause these to break or this kind of program to have issues? 0 -
I'm not aware of any forum posts mentioning issues with it. If you find it is breaking something, it can always be disabled. I do think the docs would be more complete if some examples of what might break, were listed though. 0
