Backup directory pruning process and heavy load+time
Hi,
I have a question about backup directory pruning process, which is starting at last stage of cPanel backup process.
In this case, I have 187GB of data from 104 cPanel accounts. Is there something wrong that this process takes 7 minutes to complete and then load in the server becomes very high (so high that there is no other moment in a whole day with a similar load to this one)?
I know that this corresponds to my environment - cPanel sits at OpenVZ container and has ext3 disk, especially disk filesystem, but I wonder what is best practice here? How with bigger than I providers with 1000+ accounts? How to deal with it, when there is more data to delete?

Hello :) Could you elaborate on the specific load your system faces during the backup process? Are you reaching any parameter limits (e.g. fail counts in /proc/user_beancounters)? Thank you. 0
