Domain Redirects

Hi there, I am looking to confirm something. I have been given the task of redirecting one of the domains to another site. Before I add this in using the cPanel, I want to confirm what will happen to the files stored within that account. By this I mean, there is other websites using files within sub folders and I don't want them to be affected. If I put a redirect on, will it affect the other sites that use these files?

  Hello :) A redirect will not modify any aspects of an account, other than to redirect visitors that visit one URL to another. It only adds the rewrite rule in the appropriate .htaccess file. Thank you.
