Disable Two Factor Authentication through Command Line
Hi!
I enabled 2FA and it works very well. Thank you.
Just in case my smartfone is lost/stolen, I was looking on how to reset 2FA through SFTP/Command Line. After resetting 2FA, I can login into the server and setup a new authentication in a new smartfone.
However, I could not find the reset command line in the Documentation. Please, could you post here the command line to reset 2FA? A good idea would be to add it to the 2FA Documentation.

Hello :) You could use the following UAPI function to disable two factor authentication for the account: UAPI Functions - TwoFactorAuth::remove_user_configuration - Software Development Kit - cPanel Documentation For WHM options, you can use: WHM API 1 Functions - twofactorauth_disable_policy - Software Development Kit - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0 -

When activating 2FA through command line, I could see the 2FA Enable function on the WHM Dashboard, in the left side vertical menu. After enabling it in WHM Dashboard, seems like it disappears from the WHM Dashboard. Cannot find it anymore. Please, any ideas where to find the 2FA settings into the WHM Dashboard? 0 -
This is by design per this case: Fixed case CPANEL-3596: Hide the Two-Factor Authentication options in WHM by default. You can enable it per the instructions at: Two-Factor Authentication - Documentation - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0 -
Many thanks! This thread is resolved. :-) 0
