MX records-Changing provider

Hello all, I want to ask you a question. I will change provider for my company and I want to know what should I have to ask or do to change from one provider to another. The new provider will do the hosting, but I want to be the owner of the domain. I need all my old emails to be transferred and not lose anything. Please give me some advise and if also I am missing anything let me know. Thanks in advance.

  Your post reads like you're leaving out a few details. Are you simply moving from one host to another? If yes, a proper backup of your account should be all you need. In it will be your website, databases and email.

  As soon as your website restored from the cPanel backup it's dns should be pointed to new server Usually this should be done in off working hours to avoid email outage.
