Cannot see Favicon icon on website

Hi, I have a Siteground J16-41 Joomla template. I have put a favicon icon on my website, in the CPanel File Manager, at Templates > Images. It's name is favicon.ico - though I don't see the icon appear when I open my website. What am I doing wrong, and what should I do to correct it, please? Thank you for your help!

  I have followed the instructions, renaming the line in the index.php to: link rel="shortcut icon"href="example.co.za/templates/siteground-j16-41/icon/favicon.ico" Is this correct, because I still don't see the icon on my website example.co.za

  You would do better to ask about this on the Joomla support site for help with this sort of thing.

  Just copy the favicon.ico file and upload to the main document root. After that verify it too. youwebsite_com/favicon.ico :
