Installation and setup of email

Hi, I have a server that I installed cpanel on. I have for several days tried and fix problems with sending and receiving e-mail. After many trials and errors, I concluded that I need help. I wonder therefore if there is anyone who can help me with installation of cpanel and email from scratch. I wish to use secure e-mail, but that said so work sending and receiving e-mail kin when I open all ports in the firewall. Would appreciate if someone with knowledge could help with this.
