Remote Mail Exchangers

Hi, I am migrating a client away from having their email hosted on a cpanel server. I will change the email hosting to remote via the control panel and them edit for the new MX records. My question is: Will this remove the mail boxes currently on the cpanel server? I'd like them to stay until I delete them so that I can pull down any mail that still arrives during the TTL expiry period for the MX records. I have looked, but not found an answer.   Hello :) No, this will not remove the email accounts or any data. It simply updates the email routing configuration. Thank you.
