cPanel/OpenVZ Stops Without Notice
I have two cPanel 11.54's running on a 12-core Intel Xeon with OpenVZ and Centos 7 64-bit. Periodically cPanel stops working on both installations. Once restarting the containers cPanel may or may not be there. In fact it appears that it isn't installed when restarting from the failure. Restarting the container a second time then sees cPanel.
What could this be and where should I look?

There isn't really enough information for us to help with this. When cPanel stops, go into the container and try to restart it first, and tell us the outcome. 0 -

Hello :) Could you provide more details when cPanel is not working? Do you mean there are no cPanel installation files, or that cPanel is not running, or that it's not accessible over ports 2082/2083/2086/2087? Thank you.0 -
Yes. It was as if cPanel disappeared completely. Restarting the server and VZ solved the problem. But now I wonder if it is CentosOS or OpenVZ since cPanel stopped on two nodes. 0 -
It seems possible that it's an issue with OpenVZ. Do you have any access to the VPS when this happens, or is access only possible by rebooting the server? Have you reviewed /var/log/messages or /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log on the VPS after it's recovered to see if you notice any log entries just before this happens? Thank you. 0
