Problems with several mailinglists after update to v11.54.0.21
on 24/03/ cPanel version changed from "11.54.0.21" to "11.54.0.21"
on 25/03 this script runs /usr/bin/test -x /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update_mailman_cache && /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update_mailman_cache
Email with following errors:
Could not determine the list owner for mailman mailing list "xxx.1458845366" at /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update_mailman_cache line 100.
Could not determine the list owner for mailman mailing list "xxx.1458845365" at /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update_mailman_cache line 100.
Could not determine the list owner for mailman mailing list "xxx.1458845365" at /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update_mailman_cache line 100.
Could not determine the list owner for mailman mailing list "xxx.1458845368" at /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update_mailman_cache line 100.
Could not determine the list owner for mailman mailing list "xxx.1458845366" at /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update_mailman_cache line 100.

List xxx.1458845366 has a bogus archive_directory: /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/archives/private/xxx.1458845366
.....
For all above mentioned mailinglist, i removed them to keep this a bit short...
In cPanel the client can not Manage any of these mailinglists because of the xxx.1458845366
It shows error: xxx.1458845366" is not a domain that you control.
xxx. is the name of the list
How to fix this???
PS, the weird thing is that almost half of their mailling lists are effected and the other half are ok...

Hello :) Have you manually restored or created any of these mailing lists under different names? The naming format you are referencing in those error messages is not standard. Mailing lists are named under this format in the "/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/lists/" directory: test01_domain.com

Nothing done, nothing restored, just got the update and found out the problem, how to fix? Will removing the .numeric part at end fix the issue or is there more than a simple rename? 0 -
The mailing list names should not have automatically converted to a different format, so we should first determine why that happened. I've not seen any other reports of this happening, so it's likely related to an issue specific to your system. You can try forcing an update of cPanel via "/scripts/upcp --force" to see if it happens again, and if it does you can open a ticket so we can take a closer look. Thank you. 0
