Current Version of cPanel > phpMyAdmin

What is the current version of cPanel? I am running 54.0.8 The reason I ask, is the version I am on, 54.8.8 uses the cPanel password as my MySQL/phpMyAdmin password. If the two passwords differ, It attempts to re-direct, fails and drops me to a login for phpMyAdmin.. I thought I read somewhere, that the newer version of cPanel doesn't do a re-direct with the same cPanel ,password, rather you get to a login screen where you can enter a different MySQL password. Is this true? The core issue I am having, in case it wasn't clear. Changing my cPanel password breaks my access to phpMyAdmin. The passwords aren't syncing.

I believe the change you are referring to relates to external sessions: 54 Release Notes - Documentation - cPanel Documentation Could you verify if flushing the MySQL privileges on your system updates the login behavior? Thank you.

    Thanks for the reply. Flushing privileges did not help. When I attempt to change my password in cPanel user preferences, in that window it shows the process, essentially what it updated. I only see FTP, no mention of MySQL. I'm 54.8.8 is cPanel suppose to update the MySQL password when I changed the cPanel user password? Note, my database server isn't on the same server as cPanel. It is a remote DB server.

    Ensure you update your version of cPanel to 54.0.21, as it's the version of 54 that's published to all build tiers using it. You can do this with a command such as:
    /scripts/upcp

    Here's what I see when changing the user password through the cPanel interface:
    Password changed for user "cptest01". You updated the following services, if any: system ftp mail MySQL postgresql
    Is your account assigned the "Paper Lantern" theme for cPanel? Thank you.
