How did DNS zones get changed

Why would my DNS zones get changed? One of my sites on my server was down and I looked at and saw it was changed. This has happened one other time.

  Hello :) Could you provide more details about what in particular changed? Does the domain name utilize name servers associated with your cPanel server? Thank you.
