gcc 4.7 on centos 6
hi,
ive to use gcc 4.7 to compile one of my required library.
the work around is using
scl enable devtoolset-1.1 bash.
is it safe to enable gcc 4.7 by default on centos 6?
if yes, how do i do it?
will this interrupt cpanel modules and packages?
what about easyapache?
thank you

Hello :) This type of change is unsupported. While it may not cause any problems, it's not an environment that has extensive testing so it could lead to unforeseen issues. I suggest testing the upgrade on a non-production server first to ensure it does not result in any issues with cPanel. Or, you may want to consider updating/migrating to CentOS 7. Thank you.0 -
hi, if i were to get another instance and setup centos 7 with cpanel, can you give me a temporary license for 1 month so that i could migrates all my accounts over? it would be awesome :) 0 -
A trial license is automatically issued, however please direct all license questions to our Customer Service department via the support ticket URL in my signature. Thank you. 0
