Mail SNI
cPanel is used by our domain registrar.
Recently users reported that email clients (multiple os & programs) started giving certificate warnings/errors.
Situation:
We have our Web hosting in Azure, but still rely on the domain registrars email hosting.
note: We were using a certificate purchased through the registrar (rapidssl)
When we changed website hosts to Azure, everything worked great.. site and email.
We purchased a SSL cert for the website, and updated the certificate both in Azure.
After a month, the rapidssl cert expired and we replaced with our new cert.
It was at this point where the users reported issues.
If was found that the email server was now using the registrars SSL cert, not ours.
e.g. mail servers started using *.registrar.com instead of our *.domain.com cert
SITUATION:
Our email host reports that there is no way to SSL/TLS for our users using our certificate.
I find this very hard to believe, seeing how it worked just fine for months with the rappidssl cert.
Only after the original cert expired did this problem arise.
Our registrar/email host is essentially closing this issue leaving us in a bad situation.
Any help?

Hello :) Could you verify which mail server name is utilized in the email clients of the affected users? Is this a wildcard or multi-domain certificate, or a single certificate purchased for the individual domain name? Thank you.0 -
