Installing PHP-FPM on EasyApache 4
Hi!
I am ATM running EasyApache 3 with suPHP. The server is really slow because of suPHP having to spin up processes for each request.
I am going to update to EasyApache 4.
So I want to change to PHP-FPM and found this guide: Configure PHP-FPM with User Pools for EasyApache 4 - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation
My main issue is that I don't understand what the parameters mean:
[LIST]
These instructions assume that your server runs EasyApache 4 and PHP 5.6.
In the examples below, ea-php56 represents the version of PHP to use.
In the examples below, the following are true:
[LIST]
represents the name of a user on the system.
example.com represents the domain's base directory.
represents the user's account.
represents the name of the virtual host.
Could anyone explain? Would be really nice.
And I was also wondering, since PHP-FPM is just a manager f"r Fast CGI, can you run suEXEC when using PHP-FPM?
I am running a couple of WordPress sites, all the latest version -> will they break if I change from PHP 5.6 to PHP 7?
Thanks in advance.

Hello :) You can find discussion of this feature, including examples, on the following thread: PHP-FPM Directory Index index.html file not found problem Your WordPress installations should not break on PHP 5.6 or PHP 7 if you are using the latest WordPress version: About " Requirements " WordPress Thank you. 0 -
Hello, The document should now load well: Configure PHP-FPM with User Pools for EasyApache 4 - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation However, note that enhanced support for PHP-FPM isn't planned until cPanel version 60: Enhance FPM support Thank you. 0
