Hello :) Could you verify if you have root access to the server? You referenced reinstalling Horde, however your access level is listed as "Website Owner". Thank you.

Could you verify if the messages exhibiting this behavior are new emails, or if it's isolated to the emails that you manually imported? For instance, can you reproduce the issue with a test email sent to this account? Thank you.

@cPanelMichael Thanks for your help, it's really appreciated. I was unable to manually import any emails I got an error message. (see attachment 01) When I first open Horde Webmail all emails are marked Invalid Address [No Subject] (see attachment 02) If I single click on an email sometimes I get an IMAP error message. (see attachment 03) If I single click on an email sometimes the from field and subject field get populated with the correct information (see attachment 04) If I double click on am email to open in a new browser window sometimes I get an IMAP error message (same as 03) If I double click on am email to open in a new browser window sometimes it opens the email no problem. (see attachment 05) This occurs for all existing emails, approximately seven or so emails so far today on this account. That's since I deleted and recreated the account this morning. I just sent an email to test it again, you will see I name check you within the body of the subject. (see attachment 05) See attachments for clarification. Best Regards.

This occurs for all existing emails, approximately seven or so emails so far today on this account. That's since I deleted and recreated the account this morning.

Are these seven emails related to the emails you attempted to import, or are these new emails? The test email you sent does not seem to exhibit the same issue. Thank you.

@cPanelMichael I was unable to import any emails. The import failed. I had this problem on the old email account. I deleted and recreated the account with the exact same email address, but I still have the same problem. All seven emails are new today. The test email does indeed exhibit the same behaviour. If I single click any email it causes the "subject" field and "from "field to populate with the correct information. However if I then logout and login then all emails revert back to a state of Invalid Address [No Subject] Or if I refresh (F5) the browser then all emails revert back to a state of Invalid Address [No Subject] I've tried clearing the cache, it made no difference. I've tried using Opera and Safari. Its consistently broken. Cheers

It seems like there might be an issue with the data you attempted to import. Have you tried backing up those emails, and then deleting/re-creating the email account without attempting to import anything? For instance, you noted: 1. Export all emails. (inbox.mbox and inbox.sent.mbox.) 2. Delete the account. 3. Recreate the account. 4. Import all emails. (The import failed, it said the mbox files were empty)
Have you tried this process, excluding step four, to see if the issue continues? Thank you.

@cPanelsMichael OK I've followed your instructions, i.e. steps 1-3 excluding step 4. and the issue continues. 1. I deleted the email account. (image 01) 2. I recreated the email account with a mailbox half the size to prove I'd made this step. (image 02) 3. I logged in for the first time and there was a single email already present. (image 03) 4. Single clicking the email doesnt show anything in the preview pane. (image 04) 5. Double clicking the email opens a new browser window (as expected) but I'm presented with a login screen and an IMAP error. (image 05) 6. I successfully sent a test email to my own Gmail account. 7. I successfully replied to my test email. 8. The email showed up in the inbox with the correct "From" and "Subject" but I got a red IMAP error in the bottom right hand corner. I assumed everything was fixed. (Sorry I was unable to capture this screenshot in time.) 9. But single clicking the email caused an IMAP error again and the "From" and "Subject" fields were 'lost' i.e. they changed to "invalid address" and "[No Subject]" (image 06) BTW earlier today I changed the email client to Roundcube and then to SquirrelMail on the advice of my server provider. It made no difference. However SquirrelMail presented me with an error message (image 07) Thanks again. Cheers

OK to wrap this thread up and bring it to a satisfactory conclusion. The reason I was having a problem with my email was because the hard drive of my web server was failing. It was nothing to do with my email system. When my web host moved my domains to a new server the problem was solved. The email problem was just a symptom of underlying cause. Thanks to @cPanelMichael and Engineer David for their invaluable help resolving this.
